A safari in Uganda is not complete without Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park which are the most visited in Uganda by tourist among other destinations. Queen Elizabeth National Park has a diverse ecosystem which includes a sprawling savanna, sparkling lakes, humid forests, fertile wetlands which makes it a suitable home for over 600 species of birds, outstanding wildlife attractions like tree climbing lions, chimpanzees among others. The Park is set against the beautiful sceneries of the Rwenzori Mountains, the panoramic view of Kazinga channel, Murchison Falls National Park is the largest protected area in Uganda with a lot of animals and magnificent Water Falls in the World and Kidepo Valley is with its welcoming savanna vegetation a Game drive in this park very rewarding with assured Cheetah sightings.
Download pdf brochureDay 1 - Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
You will be welcomed by a representative of Dunia Tours and Travels on arrival at the airport. If your arrival is early, we may just drive to Lake Mburo National Park which is a 4-hour drive from Kampala-Masaka highway. On the journey, we shall have a stopover at the Equator for lunch and photo shoots then continue with our journey to Lake Mburo. Upon arrival we shall check in at our lodge. Thereafter, we shall go participate in PM boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight stay in the Park.
Day 2 - Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early morning, we shall do safari walk around the park to see animals like Giraffes, Kobs, Zebras and many more, breakfast then leave for Bwind Impenetrable National Park. We shall drive via a scenic route, savanna vegetation and Ankole cattle and precede our drive through the green growth countryside. We shall have lunch on the way and finally arriving in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Check in at our Lodge for dinner and overnight in the Park.
Day 3 - Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
In the morning after our breakfast, we shall drive to the UWA Headquarters for briefing as per the group which we are going to track. The briefing will centre on the does and don’ts of the experience. This activity is one of highlights of our safari. Meeting with these gentle giants of Bwindi s quite rewarding and memorable. If you hiking enthusiast, you will love the gorilla trekking adventure in this beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike; it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter the gorillas. But once you find these creatures, it is very rewarding and interesting as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. After the trek we return to lodge for lunch and evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight in the Park.
Day 4 - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast you can choose to have a guided village walk for a closer meeting with the local community. Learn about their way of living as you walk through coffee, tea and banana plantations. Afterwards we depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will pass the southern sector of the park, called Ishasha and known for the tree-climbing lions and here we should expect to see some of the lions resting on the branches of trees. As we continue to our accommodation in the middle of the national park, be alert to spot some wildlife like Kobs, waterbucks and warthogs grazing. Dinner and overnight in the Park.
Day 5 - Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
At the park, early morning, wake up, have an early breakfast and head for the thrilling game drive at 6:00am. Game to view include Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat ride on Kazinga Channel. You will have a chance to view Hippos at close range. While on the cruise, you will get a chance of watching other bird species. Thereafter transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight in the Park.
Day 6 - Murchison Falls National Park
Depart for Murchison Falls National Park located on the north western part of Uganda and is the largest park with an area of 3840sqkm. It will take approximately 9-10 hours on road with a stopover at Lake Albert to view the Albertine Rift Valley. From here we shall continue to Bugungu Gate, enter the park with a chance of seeing some animals on our way to the lodge; like Buffaloes, Lions, Giraffes, Kobs and many more. Check in at the lodge, dinner and overnight stay in the Park.
Day 7 - Game drive and Nile cruise in Murchison Falls National Park.
Early morning wakeup calls with packed breakfast we, go for the interesting game drive where you may see many animals such as Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffe, Lions, Uganda Kobs and many others if we lucky we can get chance of spotting world’s rarest shoebill stork at down side of the stream during our game drive after that we break off for lunch. After lunch we go for the amazing enjoyable Nile cruise to the bottom of the mighty falls may spot animals like Hippo, Crocodiles populations/schools, and other animals alongside the river drinking water, the boat will spot at the actual point where you can clearly see the mighty Nile squeezes into 7-meter gorge for photo shorts. Thereafter, we retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight in the Park.
Day 8 - Murchison Falls National Park - Kidepo Valley National Park
After the morning breakfast, we shall visit top of the Falls to see the mighty Nile being squeezed into a small gorge which creates thunder storm and rain in this place. After that, we shall drive towards the Northern part of the Country, finally arriving in Kidepo Valley National Park through Lokomoti gate. Overnight in Kidepo National Valley National Park.
Day 9 - Kidepo Valley National Park
After a morning breakfast, in our safari van we shall embark an AM Game Drive on the following trucks/trails; Boma, Kakeine, Buffalo, Nogosokopire, and expect to see animals like Cheetahs, Buffaloes, White Eared Kobs, Common Ostrich, Elands. In the afternoon we hall visit Lolukulo community to know more about their Social life, Economic life, though they are mainly known for Cattle keeping. After this community indulgence, we do an evening game drive, then go back to our lodge. Dinner and overnight in Kidepo Valley National Park.
Day 10 - Kidepo Valley National Park - Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After the morning breakfast, we shall exit Kidepo Valley National Park to slope down towards the central through Gulu City to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the White Rhinos in their Natural Habitat. Overnight in Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Day 11 - Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Kampala/Entebbe
After the morning breakfast, we shall do Rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, we shall have a chance of viewing same game and Birding around the place. Thereafter, have a lunch break and transfer to Kampala or Entebbe for an overnight stay.
DAY 12 - Kampala/Entebbe – Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast depending on the time of your flight. if it’s in the evening or at night we shall participate in a day excursion before going to the Airport and back home.
